This department was established in 2005 for matching national industrial development and meeting the need of cultivating information technology (IT) elite.
Modern IT needs input from other fields. In our university, the various colleges can help in this regard, making an excellent environment for our students. In addition, we have three nearby industrial parks, which need IT professionals to perform related tasks. Therefore, our department stands a good chance to thrive in this area.
Information industry is a major pillar of the success of national economic development. Most enterprises or institutes need ever-increasing task forces to push advances of information services. The shortage of IT workers does not seem to improve in the foreseeable future.
