Introduction
Founded in 1993, Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) was formerly known as, “Chang Jung College of Management.” In 2002, the school was officially upgraded to become the “Chang Jung Christian University” that we know and love today. CJCU has the School of Liberal Arts Education and nine colleges, including the College of Management, College of Health Sciences, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Information and Design, College of Continuing Education, School of Theology, International College of Practice and Education for the Environment, School of Safety and Health Sciences and School of Fine Arts. Upholding the Christian spirit of never leaving any of our flock behind, CJCU pledges to cultivate first-rate higher education students, moving toward the goal of “Locally engaged, globally connected, a model university for sustainability.”
In recent years, Chang Jung Christian University has achieved remarkable results both domestically and internationally. In 2019, we received the prestigious four-star rating in the QS World University Rankings. In 2020, we ranked among the top 20 in the "Literature, Law and Business University " category, the top 30 in the "Promotion and Industry-Academia Income" category, and the top 30 among private universities in Taiwan according to the " Yuanjian Mazagine (CommonWealth)" Taiwan's Best Universities Rankings. We also received the first prize in the "Ecological Coexistence Group" at the "Yuanjian Mazagine (CommonWealth)" University Social Responsibility (USR) Awards. CJCU also ranked between 401-450 in the 2021 QS Asia University Rankings, 1001-1200 in the 2022 QS World University Rankings, 351-400 in the QS Asia University Rankings, and 601-800 in the THE Impact Rankings. In the latest 2023 QS World University Rankings, the university's progress was once again acknowledged, jumping 200 places to be ranked between 801-1000. We also maintained our place between 351-400 in the QS Asia University Rankings. The QS Stars Rating of the university also rose from 4 stars in 2019 to the prestigious 5-star rating in 2022. On the domestic front, the university has received several awards such as the Gold Award in the 4th National Enterprise Environmental Protection Awards and the Model Award in University Sustainability Reporting in the 4th " Yuanjian Mazagine (CommonWealth)" University Social Responsibility Awards. Over the past 30 years since its establishment, Chang Jung Christian University has grown from 134 students to a scale of nearly ten thousand.
