Module Design
The first year of the university is mainly based on basic design creativity courses and programming education. At this stage, the curriculum is designed to elicit the interest of students. In the required course of the second year of college, related courses such as design psychology were introduced, and the knowledge required for the course was gradually introduced into the course. The third year of the university is a topic designing a top stone course that allows students to design and complete a project related to interactive design during the academic year.
The course structure of this program is divided into three major modules. They are: "Moving Modules for Mobile Devices and Smart Devices," "Web Pages and Multimedia Modules," and "Aesthetic and Creative Thinking Modules."Interaction can be divided into physical device interactions (ie mobile device and smart device interaction modules) and interaction with content (web pages and multimedia modules)Whether you are interacting with a physical device or interacting with a virtual digital world, students need basic programming skills. Therefore, these three modules have program-related courses, and then teach students different programming skills for different interactive situations.
"Mobile device and smart device interaction module".In terms of mobile devices, we teach programming on mobile devices and the use of sensors on mobile devices. In smart device applications, we teach students techniques for operating devices such as Leap Motion, Kinect, or Arduino. And apply to the control of multi-axis helicopters.
In the "Webpage and Multimedia Module".We teach webpage programming related knowledge and tools, such as writing static web pages, dynamic web pages such as Javascript, CSS, HTML5 applications, and web frameworks such as PHP, Ruby on Rails. On the multimedia side, there is the use of game libraries (such as Unity 3D), and how to use the game library to complete a related course of the game, and to join Symetie Hexapod (as shown below) in combination with aerial photography data and film.Strengthen multimedia entertainment related courses.
In the "Aesthetics and Creative Thinking Module".We provided "Design Aesthetics" related courses to enhance students' ability in designing aspects, and combined with multi-axis helicopters' aerial shoots and post-productions to make design aesthetic materials more abundant. The “Thinking Creative” curriculum is used to develop students’ abilities in innovation and innovative thinking. In this series of courses, we have taught different ideas for creative ideas, and let students master these methods in practice. Apart from creative ideas, students need to be able to express their creativity in a good way. Therefore, in this series of courses, creative expression and communication courses are also provided to let students familiarize themselves with some expression techniques.
