College of Management CJCU has earned AACSB International Accreditation
AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) announced that CJCU has earned business accreditation on April 29th, 2021. The College of Management is now ranked as one of the top 6% of business schools in the world.
''We congratulate Chang Jung Christian University and Dean Chieh-Yu Lin on earning accreditation and applaud the entire College of Management team—including the administration, faculty, staff, and students—for their roles in earning this respected honor.'' said Stephanie M. Bryant, Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer of AACSB.
The College of Management CJCU joined AACSB in 2016 and established Office of AACSB Accreditation later in August of the same year to promote AACSB accreditation and related matters. The Peer Review Team Visit for AACSB accreditation was held in March 2021 and the College officially earned the accreditation at the end of April. It is noteworthy that the entire initial accreditation process, starting with the submission of the eligibility application to the achievement of initial accreditation, took less than five years, and it was the first school to earn the accreditation among the business schools in Taiwan that joined AACSB around the same time.
Due to COVID-19, the Peer Review Team Visit was conducted virtually. With the assistance of the school's IT team, the Peer Review Team Visit was successful and CJCU became the first university in Taiwan to complete the initial accreditation visit via virtual meetings.
AACSB is the world's largest business education alliance, which provides quality assurance and accredits the world's top business schools. As of the end of April 2021, approximately 900 schools were accredited by AACSB worldwide, and CJCU was the 27th AACSB-accredited school in Taiwan. Receiving the AACSB accreditation shows that the College of Management's achievement in strategy development, financial governance, faculty structure, students' learning outcomes, research results, globalization and societal impact are recognized in the international community. The College is now enlisted as one of top business schools, it will endeavor to establish sister schools, develop joint degree programs, foster academic exchange to promote globalization, and cooperate with the world's top business schools in the future.
