Silliman University Visits CJCU to Strengthen Partnership
On October 5, 2024, a delegation from Silliman University, Philippines, visited CJCU as part of their ongoing partnership through the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia (ACUCA).
The 12-member delegation included Atty. May Pono, a board member, Dr. Mark Anthony Salve, Chair of the Public Administration Program, and Dr. Eing-Ming Wu, a visiting professor at the University of Philippines, alongside SU alumni and students. They were officially received by CJCU Chairman Huang Ren-Chun, President Lee Yung-Lung, and officials from the Office of Global Engagement.
The two universities expressed their desire to enhance collaboration through faculty and student exchanges, aiming to promote deeper connections between Taiwan and the Philippines. In a show of appreciation, the SU delegates delivered a beautiful performance of their university anthem, offering a heartfelt gesture of goodwill toward CJCU.
During their visit, the group toured CJCU's International Jane Goodall Roots & Shoots Eco-Center, led by Director Dr. Liu Pi-Chu and a student intern from the International Program of Sustainable Development. This allowed the visiting delegates to gain firsthand insights into the sustainable efforts implemented on CJCU campus and its surrounding community.
