Bachelor's Degree Program in Japanese
Bachelors Degree Program in Language is orientated to cultivate professions or talents in language industry. It integrates the resources and faculty of Translation and Interpretation Studies and Department of Applied Japanese to build a course with applications and practice. It helps students to possess professional communication skill, including translation and interpretation.
Bachelors Degree Program in Language was established in 2013, implementing life-long study, recurrent education and providing the pathway of on-the-job training to cultivate talents in language industry. It is considered as in-service training course, the majority of the students work during daytime and study at the nighttime with the duration of 4 years. The graduation credit is 128 credits. It aims to cultivate talents with practical Japanese profession. The program sets a clear procedure of curriculums planning and feedback mechanism, to adopt to the structure of objective and core competence. Besides, it also plans curriculums, curriculums list, curriculums map, and core competence, so as to implement the teaching method of fostering core competence.
The first chief of program is Prof. Su, Yu-Ning, who is also head of Department of Applied Japanese. She constituted Course Evaluation Committee, Regulations for Curriculum Committee and Academic Affairs Committee and etc. so that the enrollment process and teaching works go well. The program affiliated to College of Continuing Education. It consists of chief and assistance of program, Program Committee, Regulations for Curriculum Committee, Course Evaluation Committee, advisor, and career advisor and etc.
