CJCU IPSD Student’s Climbing Taiwan’s Highest Peak, Jade Mountain
Buhombe, a CJCU student from the Bachelor Degree Program in International Program for Sustainable Development (IPSD), climbed Taiwan and North Asia’s highest peak, Jade Mountain, on July 12, 2022. Barnaba said Jade Mountain climbing has long been his wish during his stay in Taiwan. He was excited that he graduated from CJCU and realized his dream. He also encouraged his junior students to actively participate in challenging events.
Barnaba has been actively engaged in learning, environmental protection, and sustainable development actions. He between March and April, 2022 participated in The 2041 ClimateForce and represented Taiwan to join youth leaders around the world in Antarctic expedition.
Every year on the first Sunday of May, Barnaba takes a part in the “Taijiang Water Day-Love and Protect Chianan Channels Biking” event. Although he graduated from CJCU and now is studying in the Environmental Engineering Graduate Institute National Taiwan University, he still comes to Tainan from Taipei to show his care and love to sustainability through biking from Chianan Channels to Wushantou Reservoir.
