Vietnamese Students from the College of Management Participate in the 2024 Tainan International Dragon Boat Championship, Experience the Dragon Boat Festival Culture

Four Vietnamese international students from the College of Management participated in the 2024 Tainan International Dragon Boat Championship. All four students are female; three are PhD students: Giang Thi Trang, Tran Thanh Hai, and Thang Thi Hong Nhung, and one, Vo Phuong Thuy Tien, is an undergraduate in the Department of International Business. Despite their busy academic schedules, they teamed up with other Vietnamese students from several universities in Tainan, VSA Women Team, deeply experiencing Taiwanese culture and the traditions of the Dragon Boat Festival.
Giang Thi Trang said, "I'm very happy to have the opportunity to participate in such a meaningful event. As I'm about to complete my PhD in Taiwan, this will be a wonderful memory and experience in my life." Tran Thanh Hai added, "Joining the dragon boat race allowed me to meet many new friends. The experience of paddling a dragon boat in Taiwan has been very enjoyable, and I hope to participate again next year!"
During the training process, the four students quickly formed strong friendships with Vietnamese students from other universities. They encouraged and supported each other, overcoming the challenges of language and cultural differences. Their efforts earned enthusiastic applause from the audience on race day. This event provided them with a deeper understanding of Taiwanese culture and added unforgettable memories to their study-abroad experience.
Notably, the Dean of the College of Management, Dr. Chieh-Yu Lin, attended to cheer them on, letting the students feel the care and support of their college. Dean Lin stated, "I am very proud to see our students actively participating in Taiwanese cultural activities. This is not only a part of their personal growth but also demonstrates the college's commitment to international education." The College of Management will continue to encourage students to participate in various cultural activities, aiming to enhance cultural interactions and foster international friendships.
