Communicating in a Connected World: Chinese Workshop that Helps Students on the Journey of Cross-Cultural Communication

Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) on October 4 organized the “Chinese and Cultural Exchange Workshop” to enable students understand Chinese better and equip them abilities to communicate and engage in cultural activities in Chinese.

The diverse workshop offered teaching of basic Chinese, practical communication skills, and discussion on cultural taboos. Through interactive teaching, instructors designed interesting tasks for students to directly put Chinese learned into application.

Attendees said they chose this event mainly because they often have to interact with international students. Therefore, they would like to know how to effectively engage in cross-cultural communication. Some attendees also stated there will be more opportunities to engage with international students and they would like to build relevant capabilities in advance.
