Pottery Activity Organized by CJCU Library- Making Your Own Custom Mugs

On October 15, Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) Library organized the “Pottery Experiential Activity” by inviting a ceramic artist to the campus to teach CJCU students and faculty to make custom coffee mugs on Floor 4 of the library.Attendees of the activity held in the artistic and healing atmosphere included non-art major students.

The invited artist has been known for her inspiring and sensual creation style and considers pottery a process to initiate self-talk that helps us to concentrate and relax at the same time. During the activity, she shared her ceramic making journey and taught attendees about the basic techniques and knowledge including coil construction and handbuilding. Under her guidance, attendees were able to create their unique coffee mugs.
