Bringing Nature to Life: CJCU’s Environmental Education Award Winning Barkley Park AR App

The College of Information and Design faculty of Chang Jung Christian University led a team of students to develop the “Barkley Park AR App” using augmented reality (AR) technology to enhanced the park guide experience and promoted environmental education. The app won the Excellence Award for this year’s National Environmental Education Award, reflecting the university's commitment to social responsibility.

The Barkley Park AR App aimed to make the park more engaging. CJCU faculty and students visited the site and made best use of their knowledge to create a fitting AR app. The app showcased Barkley Park's nature through AR plant cards, tree and bird theme introduction, interactive games, and posters.
