CJCU Neighbour Map of Streets that are Potential to Traffic Accidents

CJCU Neighbour Map of Streets that are Potential to Traffic Accidents

I. Changjung Road Section 1 to Section 2

Instruction:

  1. From the gate of CJCU to Zhongzheng Road, there are many stores. The road is very narrow and there are plenty of cars, and the road is the main passage of people and cars; therefore, a loss of attention can easily lead to car accidents.
  2. To Provincial Highway 39, the road is wide in the suburbs, and there are quiet a few branches. It is the main activity range of students who live off campus and rent a house. Vehicles from branches often drive side by side, and those from main lanes speed. Then car accidents happen.

II. From Zhongzhou bridge to the neighborhood of Zhongzhou village

Instructions:

  1. From Dawu Road to the railway crossing at Zhongzhou, the road is wide. In particular, through Yi-Ren Elementary School and graveyard, drivers often have car accients, such as spillover, hitting trees, electric poles, and decorated archways (pailous), because there are not many cars on the road or they are affected by the surroundings.
  2. Since there are not many cars at the T-sized intersection at the viaduct of Wenshian Road, vehicle drivers often run across the signals. Make sure the intersection is safe at both left and right side, and then pass.

III. Between Wenshian Road and Provincial Highway 1

Instruction:

  1. From Wenshian Road to Provincial Highway 1, the road is the main passage between Tainan Downtown and Rende District for professors and students of both CJCU and Chia Nan University of Pharmacy & Science. The road passes Zhongzheng Road in Bao-an, interchange of expressway and Hushan Road near Taisugar dormitories. Students often have car accidents in this region.
  2. After entering the Provincial Highway 1, cars are very fast and don't completely abide by traffic lights. When you lose your attention even just for a few seconds, car accidents can happen right away. What's more, there are always students who come back very late hit by vehicles, and the perpetrator just escape the situation.

IV. Between Zhungzheng S. Road and Lioujia Road

Instruction:

  1. Scooter riders are often hit by cars from high-speed lanes at Zhongzheng S. Road and 86 expressway. Always be careful while driving through this intersection.
  2. The height can be very dangerous.
  3. The time of semaphore is relatively long at the Provicial Highway 39. Sometimes cars turning directions fail to yield those going straight, or scooter riders fail to carry out hook turns. These wrong behaviors can lead to car accidents.
  4. The avenue between Lioujia Road and Minsheng S. Road is a five-direction complex intersection, and traffic acciednts often happen here.

V. Suggestions:

  1. Well and truly stick to the order and rules of traffic to ensure sefaty.
  2. Stay highly alert and retain a fixed speed while driving and riding. Don't casully accelerate when there are not many vehicles on the road. Always stay focused and concentrate.
  3. Cut down on riding at night. Stay highly alert while passing through intersections. Stop at an intersection with a red or yellow light that keeps flashing, and then restart to drive.
  4. A hook turn should be put into effect when you drive through the 86 expressway, according to the law of Traffic Rule in Taiwan.
  5. Pedestrians should walk on the side of streets and pay attention to nearby traffic situations. Don't kid on the streets.
  6. Don't pick up another person or ride side by side while riding a bycicle. Quickly pass through intersections and pay attention to the semaphore and vehicle situations.
  7. Pedestrians and bycicle riders should dress light-color outfits at night and in the morning. Bycicles can be equipped with reflective pieces or lights. Quickly pass through intersections according to the semaphore and vehicle situations.
  8. A qualified protective helmet should be worn when riding a scooter based on the regulations, and the driving license and vehicle license should always be carried.
  9. Stick to the right of road. Drive on the regulated only. Vehicles driving on a branch should yield vehicles driving on a main road. Motorcyclist or cyclist should make a letf turn in two sections.
  10. Make full use of direction lights and other lights. Don't speed and cut in.
