Yunus Social Business Center of Chang Jung Christian University is the first social business center named after Dr. Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, in southern Taiwan, but also the second in our country. Dr. Yunus is improving the plight of the poor for a long time and those attempts and practices he did have been getting widespread attention and responses around the world. In recognition Dr. Yunus efforts to promote economic and social development from the grassroots level in society, Dr. Yunus and the Grameen Bank founded by Dr. Yunus both won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006. It is also successfully proved to the world that it is feasible to achieve specific social goals and solve social problems through social businesses. |
