Chairman Ching-Ho Wang, recommended by the College of Management at CJCU, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) Global Business Achievement Award. The BGS International Honor Society recently sent a congratulatory letter announcing the honor. Chairman Wang is the first entrepreneur in Taiwan to receive this prestigious global award.

The International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS), founded in 1913, is a premier academic honor society dedicated to recognizing excellence in business education. Only about 5% of business schools worldwide—those accredited by AACSB International—are eligible to establish BGS chapters, making BGS one of the highest honors a business student can achieve globally. Each year, BGS invites its chapters worldwide to nominate distinguished business leaders for the Business Achievement Award and Entrepreneurial Achievement Award. Following the selection of Dr. Wei-Jen Chen, Chairman of Syngen Biotech Co., Ltd. and a Ph.D. alumnus of our College of Management, as the recipient of the 2024 BGS Global Entrepreneurial Achievement Award, this marks the second consecutive year our college has successfully recommended an award-winning entrepreneur.

Chairman Wang founded Bin Shyh Enterprise Co., Ltd., leveraging his expertise in chemistry and optics to drive innovation and transform the company into a leading global supplier of optical brands. Beyond business success, he embodies a strong sense of corporate social responsibility and actively participates in philanthropic initiatives. He has long supported the development and innovation of Taiwan's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), advocated for upgrading local manufacturing industries, and served as an industrial mentor to guide young entrepreneurs—helping Taiwan-made products shine on the global stage. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led his company in producing protective medical face shields, contributing significantly to frontline healthcare protection. His efforts earned him a “National Epidemic Prevention Team” medal awarded by the Presidential Office.

The BGS Business Achievement Award recognizes business leaders for their contributions to corporate management, ethical leadership, industry impact, and talent development—core values of BGS. Dean Chieh-Yu Lin of the College of Management stated that Chairman Wang has shown a deep commitment to nurturing the next generation. He has long served as a speaker in the college’s “Executive Management Lecture Series,” generously sharing his business insights and helping students bridge theory and practice. His recognition by BGS not only reflects his excellence in ethical leadership, innovation, and social service but also sets a global example for business students and enhances the international reputation of our College of Management. As the first university in southern Taiwan to establish a BGS chapter and an AACSB-accredited business school, we strive to provide students with global exposure and nurture socially responsible, internationally-minded business professionals.
