Hand-made glutinous rice balls, Happy Lantern Festival!!

Chinese Language & Culture Center held an interactive activity to introduce the origins of Lantern Festival and had the students try to make glutinous rice balls. They made the rice balls, starting from making the dough, shaping the rice ball, cooking with sugar, and then enjoying it. All the students liked this activity and hoped to experience it again next time.

The Lantern Festival is an important traditional holiday for Chinese people. On this day, people eat glutinous rice balls, hang lanterns, and solve  riddles to celebrate the holiday.
