Miyakojima Winter Camp Opening Ceremony

The Chang Jung Christian University 2019 Hot Winter Camp in Miyakojima was held at the newly opened ICT Exchange Center under the Miyako Municipal Government. For the opening ceremony, the Chinese Language and Culture Center had prepared a map of Taiwan and Miyakojima where participating students marked the areas they had visited during the winter camp. Secretary-general Guan, Mei-Yen and Director Tomokatsu of the Miyako City Department of Planning and Policy then joined the red thread of friendship to symbolize the long-lasting friendship between the two parties. They also wished the winter camp success and wonderful gain for the students. To show the enthusiastic exchanges between the two places, the University presented the City of Miyakojima with a festive New Year gift during the ceremony, and Miyako City gifted the University with prime local cantaloupes.

The Miyakojima Hot Winter Camp is the second exchange event after the cross-border summer camp. Students from various departments in the University participated, including a student from Sendai, Japan, who has been studying at the University for four years. These students signed up because they were very interested in Japan and Miyakojima.

 Chang Jung Christian University has been actively planning to establish the Chang Jung Christian University Japan Campus. Guan, Mei-Yen pointed out that she has been personally visiting Miyakojima every month, and this is her 18th visit. Lee, Yung-Lung, President of Chang Jung Christian University has also visited three times. Guan sincerely looks forward to receiving the support of everyone to enrich the exchange between Chang Jung Christian University and Miyakojima.
