Culture Talk: Let's Have Fun with Taiwanese Traditional Toys

The cultural talk "Let's Have Fun with Taiwanese Traditional Toy" was held on March, 21, 2022 by the Chinese Language and Culture Center.  Ms. Chen, Yu-Ming, the lecturer, shared many different traditional toys, such as sand bags, flapping boards, shuttlecocks...etc. to the international students. 

Ms. Chen not only introduced the background and cultural meaning of these traditional toys, but also let each student make their own style of toys, including a glove puppet and a kicking shuttlecock.  

One of the Vietnamese students said that she was quite happy to join this event. There is similar puppet culture in her own country and she would be willing to share the puppet culture of her hometown one day in the future.
