College History
In 2002, Chang Jung Christian College of Management was upgraded to Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU). During that time, the College of Health Sciences was prepared and led under the former Dean and superintendent of the Changhua Christian Hospital, Dr. Hwang Chiau-Seng. The baton was then passed to Dr. Lin Ching-Yuan and Dr. Chang Weng-Cheng. Since 2014, Dr. Cheng Hong-I has been
serving as the Dean. The College has undergone various changes in their academic system. Currently, it encompasses one independent graduate institute (the Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences), four graduate institute departments (the Department of Health Care Administration, the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, the Department of Nursing, and the Department of Bioscience Technology), three health departments (the Department of Health Psychology, the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences, and the Department of Medical Sciences Industry), and four BA programs (Environment and Food Safety Laboratory Science, Fire Safety Science, Medical Sociology and Health Care, and Applied Orchid Industry). The educational goals of the College are to “educate students holistically based on the core of healthy and professional ethics, as well as to cultivate a high standard of talent with technological and humanitarian skills to care for the health of humans.”

Led by the First Dean, Dr. Hwang Chiau-Seng. Established the College of Health Sciences, consisting of the Department of Health Care Administration, the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, and the Department of Nursing. |

Led by the Dean Dr. Lin Ching-Yuan Established the Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, the Department of Bioscience Technology, and the Department of Respiratory Care Technology. |

Established the Department of Health Science and the Department of Clinical Psychology. |

Led by Dean Dr. Chang Weng-Cheng Relocated the Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences and the Department of Respiratory Care Technology from Changhua Campus to Tainan Main Campus. |

Renamed the Department of Clinical Psychology as the Department of Health Psychology. Renamed the Department of Health Sciences as the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences. |

2011 |
Closed the Department of Respiratory Care Technology for Student Recruitment. |

2013 |
Began Student Recruitment in the BA Program of Health Industry Development. |

Began Student Recruitment of the BA Program of Environment and Food Safety Laboratory Science |

Began Student Recruitment in the BA Program of Fire Safety Science. Renamed the BA Program of Health Industry Development as Medical Sciences Industry. |

The BS Program of Medical Sciences Industry will be upgraded to the Department of Medical Science Industry. The BS Program of Medical Sociology and Health Care will open for student recruitment. |
