Work Permit Application
You have to apply for a new work permit each semester
Work Permit Validity
- From an apply day for six months. (First Semester: apply date ~03/31; Second Semester: apply date ~09/30)
- The validity of graduation student is only until 6/30.
- If you have some reasons cause you to defer graduation, you have to attach a defer graduation statement(with the department's stamp) when you apply for a new work permit.
Required Documents
- Please upload unexpired passport file.
- Please upload student ID card (front and back sides, please make sure that you get the registration stamp from Registration and Curriculum Section for the new semester).
- Please upload unexpired ARC file (back and front).
- Please upload CJCU Overseas Students Work Permit Application Affidavit.
Application Procedure
- Apply for an account on the Workforce Development Agency website.
- Fill in your personal information and then upload the required documents.
- Download the attached Application Affidavit and ask your mentor teacher to sign it.
- Pay NTD 100 review fee for applying for the work permit. You can pay the money in the post office, by ATM Wire transfer or by Taiwan Pay.
- Submit to school for examination.

Notice
- You can not change the content when you submit the application to the school, please make sure you upload all the required documents successfully.
- If there are any documents that need to be corrected, the Workforce Development Agency will return the application to you and ask you to correct it in a short time.
- If Workforce Development Agency returns the application to you, you will have only one chance to correct the documents. Please double-check all the information and required documents are uploaded successfully. And then submit it to Workforce Development Agency.
Regulations
- Any person who works without permission shall be penalized with a fine of no less than NTD30,000 and not exceeding NTD150,000. Those in serious conditions must leave Taiwan.
- A foreign person shall pay review fee of one hundred New Taiwan dollars for each work permit application.
- With the exception of the winter and summer vacations, foreign students' sum of working hours shall not exceed 20 hours per week.
- This work permit will be invalid when the holder's residence is repealed, revoked, expired without extension, the original qualification for residence disappeared or is interrupted and termination of employment.
- This work permit is invalid when the holder's original qualification for the residence is disappeared or is interrupted. A new application shall be submitted to the Ministry of Labor when restoring qualification for residence.
- In the permitted duration, the work permit should be returned due to leave from school or drop out.
