From Lecture of International Hall of Fame to Joint Dual-Degree Program: More Internationalized DTIS
To cultivate more internationalized and competitive students, the Department of Translation and Interpretation Studies (DTIS) of Chang Jung Christian University invited three professors including Dr. Kayo Matsushita from Rikkyo University, Japan, Dr. Kenny Wang from Western Sydney University(WSU), Australia and Dr. Miranda Lai from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMTI), Australia to give lectures on translation and interpretation. Additionally, in School Year, 2011, the International Program in Translation and Interpreting was scheduled to recruit international and overseas Chinese students and the DTIS also signed a 3+1+1 joint dual-program agreement with the WSU for prospective students to study the first three-year undergraduate courses at CJCU and then continue their 4th year in WSU to acquire the dual bachelor degree from both CJCU and WSU. Prospective students would obtain a master degree from WSU if they choose to continue their one-year master program there. Within five years, they would complete their studies in two bachelor degrees and one master degree with more international competitive advantages.
