2021 Sarawak Art Competition - Chang Jung Christian University Cup, Taiwan
1. Purpose: To provide students from Sarawak with a platform for creative arts. To enhance their recognition of higher education in Taiwan.
2. Organizers: Sarawak Taiwan Graduates Association (STGA), Malaysia 、Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU), Taiwan

4. Contents: Participants will send their painting to every district for preliminary selection after creation. The original schedule is that the professional art teachers of CJCU will offer art courses for the winners at the award ceremony. However, the schedule and the follow-up will be adjusted according to the epidemic of COVID-19 situation.
4.1. Delivery Deadline: 3 July Saturday 2021
4.2. Eligibility: High school students in Sarawak
4.3. Registration&Required Documents: Please choose one of the following methods,and please make sure that you fill out the online registration. The organizer will first regard the online registration as the basis for successful registration. (Without online registration, the participant is disqualified.)

Team - Provide the team application form for all high school in Sarawak. Teachers are welcomed to collect students' painting and hand over to every responsible unit district.
4.3.1.Please fill out the personal information form(refer to the attachment) completely (including personal signature), then, cut the form and paste it on the lower right hand corner of the back side of the painting. Before the deadline, pack the painting in a reel, and send it to the address by registered mail to complete the registration. Relying on the date of receipt, overdue is deemed to be disqualified.
4.3.2.Please attach a copy of the student ID card of high school in order to verify the qualification.

4.6. Theme: Crossing 2020
The world encountered the rare and big difficulty ever in 2020. What happened to our friends in Sarawak? How everyone crossing the distance of Movement Control Order (MCO) and overcome the difficulties in the dilemma?
Isolation, disease and death make people feel fear and helpless. The humanity of kindness bring people crossing the darkness from the epidemic. We crossing the 2020 and come to 2021. We expect that participants can depict the feeling of being helped, the warmth or the appreciation through their paintings after crossing the difficulties in 2020.
4.7. The drawing paper will prepared by organizers, participants can get the drawing paper from high school teacher or the contact person of every district. You are allowed to use any kind of materials, for example, ink painting, watercolor, oil painting or crayons.
5. Judges:
5.1. Primary Selection: The organizer invites local art experts or art teachers as judges to select 8 paintings from each district.
5.2. Secondary Selection: Selected paintings from the primary selection will be handed over to Chang Jung Christian University, Taiwan, and select the First Prize, the Second Prize and the Honourable Mention Prize by the art teachers.
6. Awards:
6.1. Primary Selection: The selected students for a certificate and a prize.
6.2. Secondary Selection:
The First Prize - One winner will receive a certificate and RM1,500 cash prize;
The Second Prize - Three winners will be awarded a certificate and RM600 cash prize;
The Honourable Mention Prize - Six winners will receive a certificate, and RM300 cash prize;
Selected Nomination for ten winners, a certificate and RM100 cash prize.
7. Award Ceremony:
7.1. Primary Selection: Prizes will be awarded to the winners from each branch of Sarawak Taiwan Graduates Association after the competition.
7.2. Secondary Selection:
(a)The award ceremony is set to hold on the annual dinner of the foundation of Sarawak Taiwan Graduates Association on the end of 2021. Non resident of the area of award ceremony winners will be provided with accommodation and transportation allowances for the night. On the afternoon of the award ceremony, it is planned to provide the relevant art courses for the award-winning students by the art teachers from CJCU.
(b)Due to the epidemic of COVID-19, the award ceremony will be adjusted according to the actual situation.

The Internet allows the world to continue to interact from distance during the epidemic and to alleviate the regret of not being able to face to face. Without knowing the direction of the epidemic in 2021 and when the air transportation can return to normal, we create the new activity over the Internet this year.
This activity give participants the opportunity to let more people know their paintings. In addition, the people could receive the appreciation and warmth from the participants.
