Scholarship

CLCC cooperates with the scholarship plans offered by the Taiwanese government, including the Ministry of Education (Huayu Enrichment Scholarship, HES) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( Taiwan Scholarship). 

 

1. MoE Huayu Enrichment Scholarship

is for the Chinese language learners who would like to study language in Taiwan lasting for 2, 3, 6, 9, or 12 months. 

 

2. MoFA Taiwan Scholarship

is for people who would like to pursue a formal degree in Taiwan. The scholarship will support the one-year prestudy of Chinese language learning before starting the formal degree program.

  Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Taiwan Scholarship
Stipend NTD 25,000 monthly NTD 25,000 monthly
Eligibility International applicants above the age of 18, who possess a high school diploma or above, have shown excellent academic performance, and are of good moral character are eligible. Candidates with one of the following qualifications may not apply:
  1. Is an overseas Chinese student or a national of the R.O.C.
  2. Is currently registered as a student at a Mandarin Language Center or has sought a degree from a university or college in Taiwan.
  3. Has already received a HES or a Taiwan Scholarship, in the past.
  4. Is an exchange student to Taiwan, during the scholarship period.
  5. Is currently receiving financial benefits from the Taiwan government or another educational institution.
  1. Applicants who are of foreign nationality above the age of 18, who possess a high school diploma or above, have shown excellent academic performance, and are of good moral character are eligible.
  2. Applicants who are NOT a national of the R.O.C.
  3. Applicants who are NOT overseas Chinese students.
  4. Applicants who have never registered as a student at a Mandarin Language Center nor have studied for a degree from a university or college in Taiwan.
  5. Applicants who do not exchange students in Taiwan, during the scholarship period.
  6. Applicants who have never received a HES or a Taiwan Scholarship, in the past.
  7. Applicants whose scholarship has not been canceled by the Taiwan government or another educational institution.
