CLCC held an opening ceremony of Chinese study tour on Jan 6th

The new year beginning, various international exchange activities are in full swing in CJCU. Chinese Language Culture Center on the 6th held an opening ceremony of winter Chinese language and cultural experience study tour, the total participants are 21 students who come from Gangneung Yeongdong University and Sungkonghoe University. The study tour will last for 2 weeks, the course experience includes Chinese lesson, handicraft lesson, local dishes DIY, urban exploration, etc. The closing ceremony will be held on 15th and students are going to give a feedback on a presentation.
The principal stated in the opening ceremony that “the school has been progressing in recent years and moving towards the international university. This year, CJCU has obtained 4 stars certification from QS Stars, we hope that it will be 5 stars university within 2 years, so the school will become a high-quality international communication environment for students all around the world. I also hope students from both countries can take this opportunity to learn from each other and improve language ability.”
In order to welcome Lunar New Year, all students can receive a red envelope in the opening ceremony, and Chinese teacher teaches them auspicious words such as “Gong Xi Fa Cai, Xin Nian Kuai Le.” Each student should say this two sentences when they receive the red envelope, and experience joy and blessings of the Spring Festival.
As one of the emcees for opening ceremony, Zhi-Yu Lin currently studying in the Japanese Department, she uses Korean fluently to host this ceremony. She was inspired by Korean drama and Korean music in high school, and she went to cram school to learn Korean for 1 year. After enter the Japanese Department, she chooses Korean as a second foreign language, and currently has level 4 of TOPIK. When she was a senior, she went to Sungkonghoe University as an exchange student for 1 year, the biggest gain was dare to speak Korean. She encourages us no matter what language you want to learn, just do it!
