Spaces in The Indigenous Student Resource Center
In order to develop the characteristics as a multicultural campus and for educational purposes, CJCU specially set up the "Indigenous Students Resource Center" according to the Education Act for Indigenous Peoples Article 18. What CJCU is doing are intergrating resources from inside and outside campus, appointing specific person to help out with indigenous student affairs, respecting multiculture and offering help for indigenous students' life in campus as well as aiming at cultivating more talents for the society and tribes.
The Indigenous Students Resource Center
Location: 1st Floor of Student Activity Center; Service Time: 0800-22:00 (Open for students & groups)
Related courses of indigenous culture are held at 18:00-21:00 on every Wednesday.
Recreation Area
To enrich indigenous culture awareness. The backdrop curtain was designed by Etan Pavavalong, the Paiwan artist from Sandimen Township in Pingtung County, adding cultural & visual aesthetics to the area.
Lecture Space
Seats: 6 wooden tables & 24 wooden chairs, both made from logs & the chairbacks are twinned with wool, giving a new life to the logs.
Bookshelf
The books in the shelf are donated by the CJCU Library & off-campus units to provide related information about indigenous culture & for enquiry.
