Establishment and education goals
The establishment goal is to cultivate financial professionals with business ethics, humanistic qualities, social responsibility, and practical attitude. The education goal is to offer professional financial and other financial-related courses as well as to realize the University’s holistic education and the College of Management’s more general courses.
Development features
1. Comprehensive faculty group. The expertise of teachers fulfills the development and needs of the Department and its students.
2. Close relationship with financial industry. The Department works closely with industry through pro-actively inviting managerial professionals to teach courses or give speeches on campus and giving career guidance to students. Thus, the they may gain insight into their future profession. giving them an understanding of practical operations, which textbooks or lectures alone cannot provide.
3. Complete program of certificate and license exams. To enhance the competitiveness of students on employment market, the department offering a fully integrated approach of financial certificate and license as well as career guidance. Furthermore, in 2016. the department cooperated with the Financial Research Institute (FRI) and set up AFP/CFP courses in the campus.
4. Wide-ranging internship and practical training programs. Close relationship with banks, securities, insurance, finance-related, and other industries, the department offers a wide range of internship and practical training programs for students during summer vacation and semester.
5. Financial Technology development. The department is actively collaborating with the department of information management in designing and developing financial wealth management app and other applied technical services of financial technology.
