《Academic counseling》Multi-channel learning support
Who can I ask for help when I have learning difficulties in a professional subject?
(CJCU has established a complete teaching assistant system to not only assist teachers with teaching, but also help students with their academic problems.)
Types of teaching and course assistance
- General teaching assistant (TA)
Each course instructor will appoint outsiding students from their department to serve as TAs to assist students with completing their assignments, conduct after-class discussions and answer questions on course content.
- Course assistant (CA)
Course assistants mainly assist in classes with more than 80 enrolled students, and are tasked with taking attendance and other general tasks.
- Department assistant (DA)
High-quality students from departments in CJCU are hired to work in the departments. They help students solve academic problems, share their experience in higher education, and provide academic guidance and assistance in basic subjects.
- Remedial teaching assistant (GA)
During the midterm exams of each semester, instructors will issue mid-term alerts to students who may fail the semester. Remedial teaching assistants will provide students with help for their learning problems, and at the same time remind students to put more effort into their schoolwork.
- Digital teaching assistant (EA)
Digital teaching assistants mainly assist teachers with the shooting, editing and post-production of online courses and provide students with a learning channel in the digital age of media to enhance their diversified learning effectiveness.
What resources are there to help me interact academically with my classmates?
- Student self-learning activities
Students are encouraged to develop the ability to manage their personal needs through self-planning learning activities. In addition, achievement presentations or exhibitions are also organized to promote self-learning methods and expand the self-learning climate on campus.
- Theme-based curriculum activities
Courses are planned according to student needs, and are based on multiple skills learning to enhance job competitiveness in the workplace.
