1. Chinese courses for freshmen (required, 2 credits): Students must take the 2 credits Chinese course either in the 1st, or the 2nd semester of their freshman year. 2. Freshman English I & II (required, 4 credits): Students must take the course for one academic year. 3. Basic Foreign Language I & II (required, 4 credits): The languages offered for the courses contains English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Korean, and Russian. Students need to take one of the seven foreign languages for one academic year. 4. Intermediate Foreign Language I & II (elective, 4 credits): The courses offered are English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Korean, and Russian. Students may choose one of the seven foreign languages for one academic year. 5. The Language Education Center provides elective English courses for senior students, but advanced courses for advanced foreign languages will be offered when necessary. |
