Borrowing
CJCU faculty, staffs and students can use university ID card or library borrower's card to borrow books from the library.
- Borrowers should be the valid users.
- When borrowing books, please present your own library card.
- Please visit My Account on the library website by yourself. Borrowers who fail to return materials within the loan periods specified in CJCU borrowing regulations shall be charged overdue fines: NT$5.00/per item/per day.
- Library Card is for personal use only.
Return
- Return items to the Circulation Desk during library opening hours, or put it into the "Book Drop" at the west side of library during closing hours.
- DO NOT put audio visual materials into the "Book Drop", please return them at Circulation Desk on 1th floor.
- Please remember to check the records on My Account after returning.
- Overdue books will be charged of fines.
- Return items by post delivery and mark "Book Drop" on the cover. Please send to:

Important Notes
- Borrowers will be held responsible for loss or damage to any material in their charge, or will be required to pay the full value of replacement according to Penalties and Discipline of CJCU Library Borrowing Regulations.
- All library circulation notices are sent via email. The default email address of CJCU students is CJCU email account. Please note that these notices are a courtesy. Failure to receive a notice does not exempt you from fines.

Renewal
Patrons themselves could renew check out materials on My Account.
Please note that renewal will not be completed in the following conditions:
- Item(s) in your record is/are overdue.
- Item is on hold. (reserved by another user)
- Renewal is up to three times.
- User's borrowing privilege is locked temporarily for unpaid fines.
- Too soon to renew. (Renewal are accepted after the next day borrowed)
On-line renewal procedures as follows:
- Access online WebPAC.
- Click Sign in.
- Enter User ID and Password.
- Click on "Loans" to display list of items currently checked out to the borrower.
- Mark the box(es) of the title(s), and then click on "Renew selected".
- The new due date will be shown on the screen as successful renewal done.
Reserve
- Only for patrons who have the privileges.
- Be sure that items you need had been checked out, then you can make the reservations.
- Email notice will be send to you on the day after the reserved items are returned. Items will be held within 3 days to let patrons to pick up at the Circulation Desk.(weekends or CJCU-planned holidays not included)
- Failure to collect the reserved items within 3 days, patrons will be canceled his/her right to claim them. And the item will be moved to next patron in line or back to library stack.
- Patrons can cancel the hold online via My Account, as long as it is within the pick-up dates.
- To avoid missing out on any of the notification emails, please make sure that the registered email address is correct. To update email address, please login to student system.
Overdue
- Please return all checked out items on or before the due date. If a book/ material is not returned by the due date, it is considered overdue and is subject to overdue fines. Late return of books/ audio visual materials will be charged NTD$5 overdue fines for each item per day. The fines will be cumulated until the late item returned to library
- Patrons with late returned books/ audio visual materials or unpaid fines cannot check out, renew or request any book.
Lost / Damaged
- Any damage to a book should be reported to the library immediately. Users will be responsible for loss or damage to any book in their records, and will be required to pay the full value of replacement.
- Users should complete the book replacement procedure during 30 days since the book due date; otherwise, users have to pay the overdue fines besides the replacement book or fees.
- Users can't ask the library to refund the replacement fees after paying for replacement fees of lost/damaged book.
