Laboratory Learning Resources Center

Located in the second floor of Teaching Building Two, the laboratory encompasses 267 square meters and supplements traditional hands-on nursing skills training with new health care technologies, such as the Smart Simulation Center, which reproduces real-world experiences to enhance students’ learning. The lab consists of a smart ward with 10 bed-units of simulations, a Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum Simulation Room, an ICU Simulation Room (to be completed in 2019), a community health teaching room, and an equipment room. The design uses interactive strategies to enable students to practice and hone their skills in all major subjects of nursing care. With comprehensive and authentic clinical scenarios, the risk-free learning environment allows students to learn from their mistakes without the fear of hurting anyone and facilitates the transfers of knowledge and skills from the classroom and laboratory to hospitals and communities.

The Health Informatics Room is T20209, also on the second floor of Teaching Building Two. A lifelike human simulator and an advanced multifunction camera are available for teaching demonstrations and hands-on practice. This classroom is equipped with software containing up-to-date nursing knowledge to improve the students’ use of information technology in nursing practice.
