Service learning
The second semester of the 108 academic year
Department of Tourism and Food Management, Evergreen University
Notes on the course of the meal service learning course
Teaching goals and objectives: This course aims to practice the "learning by doing" concept of the tourism and catering industry, and particularly encourages students to practice service programs with "social responsibility" significance. Through the process of preparation, execution and results publication, students are guided to share and trigger reflection, so as to obtain the effect of learning and growth from the service experience.
It is still necessary to discuss the implementation of the action plan with the instructor every week.
Service plan implementation method (choose one): A. Social responsibility service of the school's food department: grouping and implementing the action plan, please discuss with the teacher, and then find the contact unit. B. Intramural Meal Observation Department Campus Services: Please contact the Meal Observation Department Office for implementation projects.
Course execution service hours or program frequency (choose one of the two): A. The accumulated hours are at least 18 hours (excluding pre-departure preparation, meetings, results gathering, etc.). B. Cumulative number of projects (mainly recognized by teachers in the department)
Number of groups for service plan implementation: mainly the full-time teachers of the department and the department office, and the instructor/department office can determine the number of groups for the implementation of the plan.
The application form for meal service learning must be submitted before 2020/03/13 (Fri.). Please submit the application form to the instructor's department mailbox drawer.
At the end of the semester, each student needs to submit a record sheet of the number of execution service hours or the number of plans and at least 2 execution photos.
At the end of the term, you need to submit personal participation in the meal service learning implementation results and experience.
The course will be explained in the first week of the school. The time will be announced separately on the department network and the LINE group of the class. Please participate actively.
Before the 17th week (before 6/24), each student must upload the electronic file attachments 2 to 4 (WORD or PDF files) on the teaching interactive website, and share them with the instructor in the 18th week.
