境外學生獎學金

Committee on October 19, 2022 for the 1st semester of the 2021 academic year.
Approved by the Review Committee on March 28, 2023 for the 1st semester of the 2022 academic year.


Article 1 These points are specially established to encourage outstanding overseas students to apply to study at our school and complete their studies at our school, and to reward and assist overseas students to live in Taiwan, thereby promoting the internationalization of our school.

Article 2 The overseas students referred to in these key points are foreign students and overseas Chinese students (students from Hong Kong and Macao are considered overseas Chinese students, and mainland students are not included) who meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education for the identification of overseas students.

Article 3 The application qualifications and conditions for current students are as follows:
1. Application qualifications:
(a) Doctoral students are not included.
(2) Students enrolled in degree courses, programs, and departments taught entirely in English and offered after the 2020 academic year are not included.
(3) Foreign students who have been admitted must have completed one semester at the school.
2. Application conditions: The number of credits taken in the previous semester must be at least the required number of credits for regular students of the school, the academic performance in the previous semester must be ranked in the top 20% (inclusive) of the class, the conduct in the previous semester must be above 80 points, and there must be no disciplinary action.
3. Foreign students who receive the Taiwan Scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Taiwan Scholarship from the Ministry of Education, or other scholarships on campus are not eligible to receive the benefits of this scholarship.

Article 4 The application criteria for exchange students and dual-degree students are as follows:
1. Exchange students: During the exchange period, the application will be suspended. The application qualification will be restored in the semester after the exchange ends and the application conditions for the semester are based on the performance in the last semester before the exchange.
2. Students in the dual-linked school system: The application requirements for the first semester after attending the dual-linked school are based on the performance in the semester before going abroad. After going abroad, the application is limited to one more semester.

Article 5 The content and review principles of the scholarship are as follows:
1. Applicants who meet the application qualifications and conditions will receive a fixed subsidy of NT$25,000 per semester. In principle, tuition and miscellaneous fees can be directly deducted. If the tuition and miscellaneous fees are less than RMB 25,000, the actual amount will be deducted.
2. The award period is as follows:
 (a) The maximum award period for undergraduate students is seven semesters.
 (2) The maximum award period for master's students is three semesters.
3. Applications for scholarships should be submitted to the International Affairs Office, which will organize a review committee to review and approve the scholarships based on these guidelines and the information submitted by the students. The relevant issuance of scholarships will be handled in accordance with the principles of these guidelines.
4. Scholarships are assessed for one semester at a time and applications and review should be made semester by semester.

Article 6 Application method and deadline:
1. Application shall be processed according to the schedule announced by this office after the start of each semester.
2. Please download the application form from the International Affairs Office website.

Article 7 Scholarship applications should be accompanied by the following materials:
1. Scholarship Application Form.
2. Copies of documents, including one copy each of student ID, residence permit and bank account (please stick them on the back of the application form).
3. Original copies of academic transcripts from previous years.

Article 8 The number of students eligible for scholarships each academic year shall be adjusted flexibly according to the school's budget.

Article 9 Awarded students shall no longer be entitled to the scholarships and grants provided in this Regulation from the date of withdrawal or transfer, and shall return the scholarships and grants received in that semester. If a scholarship recipient suspends his/her studies for some reason, his/her scholarship eligibility will be suspended and he/she will be required to repay the scholarship he/she has received for that semester. His/her scholarship eligibility will be restored after he/she resumes his/her studies and registers.

Article 10 If it is verified that a scholarship recipient has forged or provided false information, in addition to revoking his/her scholarship qualification, he/she will be dealt with in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Article 11 These guidelines shall be implemented after being approved by the Scholarship and Work-Study Grant Review Committee and announced by the president. The same applies to amendments.
