Individual Counseling

Individual counseling is a counseling process which only involved student and counselor. Counselors from counseling center will help students to address problems derived from gender relations, emotional management, stress adjustment, learning skills, interpersonal, families, self-discovery, mental illness, etc.
Individual counseling will be held once a week which takes about 50 minutes at a time for approximately 6 to 8 weeks. Through conversations or art media, it helps students to enhance self-awareness, increase courage and self-affirmation to face the challenges of life and pursue spiritual quality.
A lot of students may concern,
“Will the content of my conversation in the counseling room be revealed to my teacher, family, and friends? “ or
“ Will I become a joke among my friends if they had known that I’ve been here? ”
We care about the privacy of students, the principle of confidentiality will be followed, students' teachers, parents or friends will not know the counseling situation in the counseling room. However, there are still restrictions on confidentiality. If student commits suicidal, self-injury, hurt others, or violates the law, it is not within the scope of confidentiality.

Some students may concern, ” Am I sick if I come to counseling center?”
In fact, this concept is incorrect as students who come to counseling center are those who willing to face their problems and difficulties, and attempt to pursue a better mental quality.
Students are welcomed to the counseling center to explore themselves.
We will provide the most genuine and professional counseling services.
