Taiwan Cooperative Bank Research Scholarship Establishment
Please apply before May 2, 2024 if you meet the qualification requirements.
I. According to “Taiwan Cooperative Bank Research Scholarship Establishment Regulations”
II. Application qualifications
A. Each national or private university’s senior students, or graduate/Ph.D. students who have studied for 1 year in the department, and during that semester had not received this research scholarship.
B. In principle, a maximum of 2 students from the same department (or program) are allowed, and exceeding this limit will be based on semester average grades as the screening criteria.
C. Total average score shall be above 80 in both fall and spring semesters in the previous academic year.
III. Applied documents
A. Transcripts of fall and spring semesters in the previous academic year issued by the school.
B. Recommendation and thesis review form (Appendix I) : graduate and Ph.D. students should be recommended by the chair of the department, undergraduate students should be recommended by a professor of the related courses, and the recommender’s review comments are required.
C. Research thesis: The research range should be related to the Taiwan domestic economy or financial-related issues, for example, financial fraud prevention, artificial intelligence in finance (AI finance), financial technology and innovation experiments, bank regulatory compliance, emerging financial supervision, risk management, information security, online marketing, and sustainable finance related to ESG.
1. The research thesis must be written in Chinese or English; if written in English, a Chinese abstract of 3,000 to 5,000 words is required.
2. Research thesis should be published in the name of the individual. The thesis jointly published with classmates or advisors will not be accepted.
D. An original copy of the Consent for personal information disclosure for research grant application. (Appendix II)
IV. The research thesis that is approved after the verification by the bank, the qualified would be awarded with certificate and scholarship. Undergraduate students would be 20,000 NTD per person, graduate students 30,000 NTD, PhD students 40,000 NTD. The award-winning thesis will be published or printed without additional remuneration. The applicant's winning qualifications will be used as a reference for the future employment of personnel in the bank.
V. After receiving the research scholarship from Taiwan Cooperative Bank, the awarded students shall state "This thesis has won the Taiwan Cooperative Bank Research Scholarship" when the students submit or publish the awarded thesis in other media or apply for other institutions' award activities.
VI. The bank will hold the award ceremony, awarded students please participate in the ceremony then.
