Scholarship and Funds for Overseas Students
Application of scholarship
Bachelor Degree & Master Degree
For New OCSs and Foreign Students:
- Eligibility for new students are as follow:
- Meet the University's qualifications for overseas students, and admitted through the University's admission channels.
- Any foreign student who is a recipient of the Taiwan Scholarship from either the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) or the Ministry of Education (MOE), or who has been granted any other scholarship from within this institution, is not eliglble for this particular scholarship concurrently.
- Content of Scholarship:Admission grants in the first semester shall be NT $35,000.
- Application Method:Overseas students applying for admissions discounts shall submit acceptance notification and application form (as attached) to the Office of Global Engagement upon notification of acceptance.
For Enrolled Students:
- Eligibility for enrolled overseas students are as follow:
- Enrolled overseas students who have completed one semester of study and be in the third year of undergraduate studies or below, or the second year of a master's program or below.
- Academic grades in the previous semester must be in the top 20% of the class or above, and conduct in the previous semester must be 80 points or more, with no records of disciplinary action.
- Any foreign student who is a recipient of the Taiwan Scholarship from either the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) or the Ministry of Education (MOE), or who has been granted any other scholarship from within this institution, is not eliglble for this particular scholarship concurrently.
- Content of Scholarship:In the second semester after admission, those eligible for scholarship continuation shall receive a subsidy of NT $ 25,000 per semester.It shall exempt the tution fee in principle.
- Application Method:The application process shall be administered in conformity with the schedule announced by the Office of Global Engagement for each respective semester.
Overseas scholarship students who withdraw, transfer and take a leave of absence from school shall return the scholarship funds received for that semester.
Ph.D. Degree
For New OCSs and Foreign Students:
- Eligibility for new students are as follow:
- Those who meet the CJCU qualifications for international students and have enrolled through the various admissions system of CJCU, excluding transfer students.
- Students shall have an English proficiency of at least CEFR B1 level; however, those from English-speaking countries shall not be subjected to this requirement.
- Review criteria:
- Work and service experiences are in line with the development value of CJCU.
- A faculty or member of an alliance unit.
- Previously served as an important administrative position in an alliance unit.
- Other potentials that are helpful to the development of CJCU.
- Content of Scholarship:A grant of NT$20,000 to NT$40,000 shall be provided for the first semester based on the review outcome, and shall generally be fully applied toward tuition and miscellaneous fees.
- Application Method:

Apply after receiving the acceptance letter.

Submit relevant supporting documents such as the acceptance letter, application form, English language proficiency certificate and other documents that meet review criteria.
Overseas scholarship students who withdraw from school shall return the full amount of the scholarship received.
For Enrolled Students:
- Eligibility for enrolled overseas students are as follow:
- Overseas students who have completed one semester of study and be an international doctoral student in the third year or below of the Ph.D. program.
- Having completed one semester of study at CJCU. The conduct score in the previous semester shall be 80 points or above, and there shall be no incident of disciplinary action.
- Must be residing in Taiwan and enrolled in school during the semester of application.
- Review criteria:
- Academic grades and performances in the previous semeste:Reviewed and approved by the Dean of the College of Management, the Chief Executive of the Ph.D. Program in Business and Operations Management, and the doctoral advisor
- Service performance in the previous semester:The service performance shall be recorded and verified by the respective department of the students. Service content includes activities related to promoting internationalization and the development of CJCU
- Content of Scholarship:A grant of NT$20,000 to NT$40,000 for one semester shall be provided based on the review outcome, and shall generally be fully applied toward tuition and miscellaneous fees.
- Application Method:The application process shall be administered in conformity with the schedule announced by the Office of Global Engagement for each respective semester.
Overseas scholarship students who withdraw from school shall return the full amount of the scholarship received.
