Diversity and inclusion have become important global issues in today's world. In 2017, the European Union (EU) passed the Diversity and Inclusion Charter (https://ec.europa.eu/info/sites/default/files/diversity-inclusion-charter-2017-07-19-en.pdf), which explicitly emphasizes the importance of diversity, inclusion, and equality in EU society.

As higher education becomes increasingly internationalized, the campus of Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) is also gradually presenting a multicultural face. In the face of encounters with different cultures, the university must provide a diverse and inclusive campus environment for students to deepen their understanding of cultural similarities and differences, and learn about cross-cultural issues and life lessons such as respect, inclusivity, support, and companionship.
