自由性(Liberty)

Freedom is an important indicator of the achievements of democracy and human rights. Former US President Franklin Roosevelt (1882-1945) proposed the concept of "Four Freedoms, https://www.archives.gov/milestone-documents/president-franklin-roosevelts-annual-message-to-congress" during a speech in the US Congress (01/06/1941), advocating for people to have the freedom of speech and expression, freedom of worship, freedom from poverty, and freedom from fear.

In the face of the universal values of democratic freedom, the campus of Chang Jung Christian University must ensure that a free campus is itself a microcosm of a democratic and free society, accommodating the exercise of individual freedoms, maintaining academic and research freedom, and providing a free and inclusive campus for students to pursue truth, learn the essence of freedom, and recognize the responsibility that comes with freedom, in order to cultivate future global citizens grounded in these values.
