2019 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony & Flea Market

On the 28th, CJCU held a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in  front square of the administration building to start the Christmas prelude. In addition to the traditional lighting ceremony, a flea market was held in the afternoon of the event. Second-hand items were collected from the faculties and students. The proceeds were donated to disadvantaged students in higher education programs to implement the spirit of love for Christian universities.

At the lighting ceremony, the president Yung-Lung Lee said that today is Thanksgiving Day. It is a rich year for the school. It seems to have just won the four-star award from QS World University, and hopes to become five stars in two years. In addition, various subsidies have reached a new peak. This year, 120 million government subsidies will be obtained, and all will be invested in teaching equipment and research and development. I hope that next year will be richer than this year.

The theme of this Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony is "Light Up Love, Delievering Love". Before the ceremony, the seminars, international students, student fellowships, violin club, guitar club and hip-hop club were invited to bring wonderful performances. Chairman of the Board, Prof. Szu-Hai Yang, Dr. Jen-Chun Hwang, the Founder of CJCU, president Yung-Lung Lee, vice president Huey-Min Sun, director secretary of Guiren District Public Office Lin Yuzheng, chairman of Tainan Dawulun Green Energy Park Promotion Association Huang Shunji, and director of Datan Community Development Association Lin Mingxin and other VIPs jointly pressed the light button to light up the campus and illuminate the community. The warm Christmas month was officially announced.

All Christmas landscaping arts emphasizes environmental protection and creativity. There is a high Christmas tree as the main point. The surrounding landscaping layout is planned and designed by the campus landscaping team. The team has Hsien-Chang Wang, Chien-Bang Chen, Meng-Hua Yang, Ching-Feng Lin, Yu-Lun Su, etc. Those teachers led the students to use the old equipments and the new equipments to complete the work together, to show the practical power of teacher-student co-creation, and to create a romantic Christmas atmosphere on campus.

In addition to the hut, sleigh, and gingerbread man's appearance this year, three new devices such as reindeer, ball lamp, and message subtitle machines  were added to the Christmas landscaping arrangement. The reindeers have two sizes, with acrylic reflective strips on the body and supplemented by spotlight lighting. It is very cute. The ball lights form a sea of ​​lights around the Christmas tree. In addition, the handwriting blessing cards of previous years are specially added to the typing form. A subtitle machine is placed on the reindeer or sleigh. Let everyone share their blessings as they pass by.
