2021/12/20 & 2021/12/22 Christmas Love and Care Caroling & Loving Your Neighbor Caroling
The Office of the Chaplain held a Christmas Love and Care Caroling on 2021/12/20 to collect loving materials or donations from faculty, staff and students of school. In this cold winter, we will send our love to those families in need and bring them a warm holiday.
In this Christmas season, we were grateful that Jesus was born for love, and in response to the love received from God, the love was transmitted to 20 disadvantaged families in Da Tan district, Wu Dong district and Zhongzhou district. At 5:30-7:30 that evening, three teams went there, accompanied by the chief of the village or the loving mother, and delivered loving materials to these disadvantaged families. One of them is the Christian New Lamb Supporting House (the rehabilitated half-way house).
Three teams of students who is participating in the service learning of the Office of the Chaplain led by the pastors , and invited a total of 9 people from the violin club to participate and the guitarists from the student fellowship. There was a total of about 54 people participated in the Christmas Caroling Event. We sang Silent Night and joyful Christmas songs to bring blessings to these families, hope everything goes well, and wish them a happy Christmas and New Year. Some residents also clapped and hummed with us, and were happy.
After the event, we still let those students to share and give us some feedback. Many of them shared that seeing these disadvantaged families made them know how to cherish their existing happiness, and also know how to appreciate and giving thanks to people. It also motivates them to hope that when they are able in the future, they can also help disadvantaged families in society who need to be cared for and give back to the society.
The Christmas Love Your Neighbors Caroling Event was held on December 22, 2021. The Office of the Chaplain took some students of the student fellowship to deliver our blessings to some business stores in Tai Tam district, also the Tai Tam police station and the CJCU Rail Station. Thank them for their love and care to CJCU students this year. We sang Silent Night and Christmas songs, hoping to wish them a peace and smooth year in the future by passing on the love of Jesus, and the business is prosperous. In the campus, we also extend our gratitude and blessings to the hard-working guards. Of course, we should also send the good news to the students living in the dormitory, and hope that everyone will live in love, be safer and be more happy in life on CJCU campus.
