2022/05/23 Student Adulthood Service
The Office of the Chaplain of CJCU held an online 2022 Student Adulthood Service on May 23rd—Exploring Mountians to Sea National Greenway. There were 40 teachers and students participating. Rev. Ming-Cheh Cheng shared the meaning of being an adult and introduced the significance of the knowing about the Mountians to Sea National Greenway. I hope that the students in the future will accept the challenge of the four routes of the Mountians to Sea National Greenway.
The teachers who attended the meeting gave exhortations and blessings to those students. President Yung-Lung Lee mentioned that he hoped that students can explore the different gifts God has given to individuals in the good learning environment of CJCU, and find and construct the value and meaning of their own lives. Dr. Ching-Yi Horng, the Dean of the ICPEE, reminded us to maintain muscle strength training and challenges to the body, and to participate in the protection and exploration of natural ecological environment resources, and practice to make our living environment better and achieve the true "Transform to be an Adult".
In response to the epidemic, this Student Adulthood Service was held online. We had pre-recorded images of students coming to receive awards, present certificates, wear crowns and give blessings. Students have the courage to practice the four cores of the Spirit of CJCU: Respect for Heaven, Love People, Cherish Things, Practice, and with Gratitude heart to do all related activities and make records into "Growing Up Diariy". After evaluation, the top three and several outstanding students will be awarded awards. We also gave the honorary certificate to those students who participated the April 23rd World Earth Day Dayan Cleaning Up and the May 1st, Love Land and Protect Water Source--Cycleing to Wushantao Resevoir. Finally, the pastor prayed for the "A Letter to the Future Me" written by the students, hoping that their hopes and dreams for the future would come true. Through the baptism of the Adulthood Service, we sincerely wish this group of students to get out of their ignorance and youthfulness, and to enter a new stage of life with a mature attitude, wisdom and courage.
