〔Report from the Chaplain Office〕
This year's Christmas Carols Service was held on December 22 in CJCU Hall by chaplain office. Music and singing reverberated throughout the circular bamboo building space.
The Brass Ensemble and Handbell Choir, which are invited to work together every year, increase the soft and warm atmosphere of the solemn worship ceremony. In addition, the student worship and praise team sing songs in African exotic styles, making the whole worship feel more international and diverse. The process of worship is centered on the five candles of Advent. School chairman of the Board Jen-Chun Hwang, school president Yung-Lung Lee, two vice presidents Huey-Min Sun and Pei-Chih Wu, and the dean of Secretariat Mon-Juan Lee are invited to light five candles respectively. Each Bible verse of candle lighting has revealed the message about Jesus Christ's birth. Teachers and students are invited to read the scriptures and do devotions, and pray for blessings, Throughout this way lead the congregation to deeply experience the meaning of the birth of Christ, sing traditional Christmas hymns together to honor and worship Lord. May God give peace in this uncertain post-pandemic situation to bring stability to the people.
May God bless CJCU to be long and sustainable, walking out of a broadway amidst limitations, protect Taiwan to be firm and prosperous in the tense cross-strait relations, and lead the world to the way of peace and justice amidst the international constant wars.
