Chang Jung Christian University’s 29th Anniversary Thanksgiving Ceremony Service, Continuous Improvement towards a World-Class University

In order to celebrate its 29th anniversary, Chang Jung Christian University held a Thanksgiving Ceremony Service on November 16 in the newly completed bamboo-structured multifunctional classroom "CJCU Hall". This 29th-anniversary ceremony service is started by handbell choir with a melodious ensemble bell performance. During the Thanksgiving service, Jen-Chuin Hwang, the founder of CJCU, shared the hardships and determination that led to the birth of the school. Pastor Dai Shuoqin, chairman of the Presbyterian Church, also delivered a sermon on the theme of "Xiaoqing 29". At the end of the ceremony, the thanksgiving service was successfully concluded with passionate singing and dancing and African drum performances by international students. 

In his speech, President Li, Yung-Long thank all the staff and students of the school for their hard work. The school has repeatedly achieved success in terms of internationalization and sustainable development. The QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) Asia's Best University Ranking continues to maintain at 351-400, and the QS World University Star Rating won the five-star achievement to the next level. It entered THE Impact Rankings (THE Impact Rankings) for the first time this year and won the ranking of 601-800. 1,000 students, the school's performance has been recognized at the international level. the

Yung-Long Lee pointed out that in addition to being in line with international standards, the school is actively practicing social responsibility, moving towards a green and sustainable university, and practicing the mission of coexistence of economy and environment. Received the 15th Taiwan Enterprise Sustainability Award in 2022TCSA again. He pointed out that the carbon reduction policy has become a global trend. In order to develop the green energy economy and cultivate green-collar talents, in recent years, he has actively planned to mitigate climate change and launched strategic actions in line with world trends. The Carbon Transformation Alliance has successively completed a series of forward-looking actions such as the implementation of ISO50001 energy management system education and training, teacher training, and corporate counseling, and gradually implemented various cross-college "zero (carbon emission)" credits and campus net zero plans. A highlight at the beginning of the semester Integrate the concepts of "people-oriented" and "environmental sustainability" into the campus food culture, cooperate with IKEA to completely renovate the dining area of the student restaurant, not only create a comfortable and bright dining environment for teachers and students but also implement net zero sustainability Commitment to Green Living. In addition, in order to build a safe campus and protect the health of teachers and students, we have continued to improve the campus security software and hardware facilities in the past two years, with the goal of building a world-class safe campus. In order to provide students with a high-quality and safe parking environment and to increase the space for teachers' and students' activities, a well-known bamboo structure architect in China was invited to design the first motorcycle parking lot and the bamboo multifunctional classroom Changrong Hall (CJCU Hall).
