A Thanksgiving Service -- 30th Anniversary of CJCU; Sustainable Action for the Next Generation

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the school, the Office of the Chaplain held a thanksgiving service at CJCU Hall on November 16, and completed the dedication ceremony of CJCU Hall with a grateful heart. About 180 people participated in the event, including board members, guests from the East Malaysia delegation, alumni associations and guests from other units to celebrate the 30th birthday of CJCU.
The event started with the melodious music of the orchestra. Rev. Chih-Hung Peng, Moderator of PCT(Presbyterian Church in Taiwan), also delivered a sermon with the theme of "Inspiring Life of Faith, Toward A Prosperous House." He looked forward to being in the CJCU family. All colleagues can "Resonate on the same frequency" to create a better future. Datuk Tiong Thai King of Rimbunan Hijau Group / Mafrica Group specially presented a sculpture of "Two Horses Galloping" to CJCU, wishing the school a bright future.
Chairman of the Board Jen-Chun Hwang, one of the founders of CJCU, expressed his gratitude to God for his guidance in the past, looking forward to CJCU reaching its centenary, and encouraging everyone to grow their minds and take action in love. President Yung-Lung Lee also encouraged everyone to do their jobs well now and thanked all the faculty and staff for their efforts. Even if the declining birthrate brings challenges and people’s knowledge is limited, we must hold on to God and be united in the Lord. Resonance requires everyone to work together to create a bright future for CJCU.
This year, the Handbell Choir and the orchestra performed the Happy Birthday song and the school song to celebrate the 30th anniversary of CJCU! The event was also specially arranged to commend Senior Staff Honor Awards for those who have served for 30 years, 20 years, and 10 years, and thank them for their long-term contributions to the school. In order to thank alumni for their long-term support, the school also issued a special certificate of thanks to Chairman Cheng-Kun Wang of CJCU Alumni Association, and also commended 5 alumni selected this year who have outstanding performance in various fields, including Sheng-Chuan Liu (Director of Chang Sin Real Estate Appraisers Joint Office), Chih-Chien Ke (Deputy General Manager of Tainan Third Credit Cooperative), Yen-Ming Huang (Principal of National Hou-Bi Senior High School), Meng-Chia Yang (Head, Producer, Director of Full Creation Film and Television Production Co., Ltd.), Chun-Peng Chen (Indegenous People of the Paiwan Ethnic Committee). In the end, the Handbell Choir and the orchestra performed music as part of the ceremony with the song "Festival Procession" to congratulate CJCU on its successful school fortune.
