2024 Memorial Service for Christ’s Passion and Resurrection, CJCU
[Reported by The Office of the Chaplain]
CJCU held a Memorial Service in Passion Week for Christ’s Passion and Resurrection on March 29, Good Friday, at 2:20 pm at the CJCU Hall. This year's service quoted German musician Franz Joseph Haydn's oratorio "The Seven Last Words of Our Savior on the Cross" as supplementary introduction to explain the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Through scriptures, lyrics and music, the congregation was guided, through Jesus’ last seven words on the cross, remembering His example of willingness to suffer for the world, and reflecting on the significance of His suffering to the world; and finally through the scriptures of the resurrection of Jesus Christ Articles and messages, singing that Jesus Christ has been resurrected, celebrating the power and hope that Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead has brought to the world, and sharing the joy of Jesus Christ’s resurrection.
