2025 CJCU Lunar New Year's Day Service
[Reported by the Office of the Chaplain]
CJCU held a Lunar New Year's Day Service at CJCU Hall on February 3, the first working day after the Lunar New Year holidays. At 9:15 a.m. that day, there was a "Lunar New Year, Bell Ring to deliver blessings" acitity was held at the Shen-Hsing Park. President Yung-Long Lee and two teachers also attended. Everyone prayed together for the development of the school and for all teachers and students, and even for Taiwan's political stability and international peace. At 10:10 a.m., the time point of the smile symbol, the 2025 Lunar New Year's Day Service began, with about 90 faculty and staff participating.
The pastor quoted the words of the Apostle Paul in the Bible, "Forgetting what is behind and straining forward to what is ahead, you press on toward the goal," and encouraged everyone to face the difficult reality of the environment, but not to dwell on it and worry about it. Instead, we must have the confidence to overcome the difficulties of the present, move forward courageously, and be faithful to the mission of higher education entrusted to us by God at Chang Jung Christian University.
This service invited director of the Board Rev. Jheng-Long Bing to give everyone New Year's wishes and encouragement. He first wished a happy new year to all faculty and staff on behalf of the board of directors, and also wished everyone more grace, more blessings, and more strength. He shared his own experiences with some entrepreneurial young vendors who he met while hiking during the Lunar New Year. He uesed a rich and interesting way to encourage everyone to be passionate and sincere, and to work hard and down to earth. By sharing with each other and sharing the difficulties of others, we will be able to have a better impact.
President Yung-Long Lee encouraged everyone that in the face of the current difficulties, we should have different thinking and break through the framework. Although we cannot see or verify it clearly with our eyes, it does not mean that there is no plan. We must work together to help each other and work for each other. The current changes made in response to the overall environment are inevitable. I hope that supervisors will show more care and allow colleagues to adapt as quickly as possible. We need to have a new positioning in enrollment; the National Intercollegiate Athletic Games is an upcoming major task, we accept this challenge and go all out.
Just as Dr. Chin-Ming Lin played a blessing hymn "Pray Always", we should pray often, rely on God's words, walk with God in faith, and move towards the future together.
At the end, Director Rev. Jheng-Long Bing and President Yung-Long Lee, and several first-level supervisors raised their cups to wish all participating colleagues a happy new year, and wished Chang Jung Christian University peace, happiness, abundance and prosperity. Finally, the director and the president distributed red envelopes containing a spiritual blessing card to all colleagues present, making the first working day after the Lunar New Year holidays full of blessings, joy and hope.
