2018/11/16 Thanksgiving Service for the 25th Anniversary
2108/11/16 held the 25th anniversary of Chang Jung Christian University in the International Conference Hall. First of all, the hand bell group led by Director Ying-Hui Chen unveiled the prelude, and then the worship songs were led by the worship team of the Theological Seminary. During the service, the student choir led by Director Jessica Hao sang "Amazing Grace" in a cappella.
The Vice-President, Reverend Bo-Ho Huang gave us sermon "Discerning The Sign of The Time" to encourage CJCU to continue to uphold the spirit and concept of Christ's love for the world and never give up one sheep in this generation which is getting small amount of children. Putting more practices in love and life, so that our school can be more glorious to our Lord and become a university that God is pleased with.
The Founder of CJCU Jen-Chun Hwang shared his story which he is connecting with Chang Jung Christian University for a quarter of a century. Although it was hard to build the school, he is pleased to see the school development. The Chairman of the Board, CJCU, Szu-Hai Yang also shared some past events since the founding of the school. He is satisfied with the current situation of CJCU and expects the future development of the school to be more progressive. President Yung-Lung Lee mentioned that the Japanese Education Center will be unveiled in Miyako Island recently. It is expected that a branch campus will be established in Miyako Island in three years, so that Chang Jung Christian University can move towards international and new milestone. President Lee also thanked the faculty and staff for their joint efforts, which are important help for the future.
During the service, there was a ceremony of Offering of Thanksgiving Gifts was presented by the Office of Research & Development, the Japan Center and the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Center. The R&D department presented the world champion beer as a gift, which symbolizes the progress of the industry-university cooperation of CJCU. The Japan Center presenteds the Miyako Island map as a gift to symbolize the opening of exchanges and cooperation between the two places. The UAV Center uses the "anti-collision drone" as a gift. Emphasizing this spherical anti-collision drone developed by the UAV Center, it has perfect protection for the aircraft during the flight, in the hope of investing in complex, narrow and dangerous fields in the future.
In the service, CJCU also praised those faculty and staff, teachers who has done the services for school over 10 years and 20 years. Reverend Chang-Wan Ku of the Office of Chaplains also served over 10 years. CJCI also praised the outstanding alumni of the E-Champ Dermatology Clinic Superintendent Chen-Kun Wang.
The whole thanksgiving Service was full of warmth, praise and gratitude, and finally ended with the wonderful music of the hand bell group.
