Ahoy ~Young sailors, welcome on board and join the vessel we called it "collage life" (AKA. CJCU. A.M.M.) As a senior and experienced sailor. I have some advice to give you.
"Be at downwind" - College is just like a carriage that carries you to a further life, but not a destination. So, all you need to do is being open-minded, relax, and enjoy it. Also, never forget -"Safety First."
"Teamwork" - A vessel cannot be navigated by one person alone. Make some friends and treat them sincerely. It's never easy to make a true friend when leaving school.
"Home kitchen cake" - It is always the best tasting cake which is made with love. If you are single, maybe try to get into a relationship. Learn to love, learn to share, learn to be jealous, learn to be rejected, learn to lose, and learn to move on.
"Cut and run" - A good sailor always knows when to cut the rope and run. While a relationship (whether it be a friendship, family, romantic, or interpersonal) is causing you physiological or psychological damage. Just cut it off and run away immediately.
"Don't be the captain's parrot" - No captain will hire a crew who is useless on a vessel, unless you are a parrot. Find one or two skills that you currently have or do not have yet, but that you might be interested in. Shape it, forge it, and make it become your money maker.
"Time is money" - Yep, time is the most valuable asset you have now. Treasure it. Spend it wisely. Leave the person who never try to understand you or the thing that might screw you up. They don't deserve your time to be wasted.
Be loving, to love and be loved. Because you are born unique and special. You always deserve.
