Proof of applicant’s having sufficient funds
Legal basis: Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan.
The applicants must provide an official bank statement (in Chinese or English) that indicates an account balance of more than NT$150,000 (US$5,000). The statement has to be issued by a financial institution and cannot be older than 3 months at the time of application. The company account is not acceptable, please provide provide the personal account as proof.

If the certificate is not in the name of the applicant himself/herself, a signed sponsorship letter (in Chinese or English) is required. In this sponsorship letter, the relationship between the sponsor and the applicant has to be stated and the support of the applicant’s expenses for the duration of the applicants studies in Taiwan has to be guaranteed.

Full scholarship recipients can provide scholarship certificate instead (scholarship application form not accepted). A scholarship awardee shall provide proof of scholarship, and he or she shall also submit a bank statement showing at least TWD 30,000 (USD 1,000).
When reviewing one's admission application, if any of the required documents (i.e. Degree diploma, Financial statement, Language certificate, or other documents required by CJCU) have not been authenticated by an overseas mission, or by an agency established or designated by the Executive Yuan, or by a private organization commissioned by the Executive Yuan, and the university has any doubts about them, it may request authentication by an overseas agency. If documents that have already been authenticated raise any doubts, CJCU may request examination of the documents.
