Service Assistantship
We believe students from all economic backgrounds should have access to higher educational opportunities. This assistantship is intended to help IPSD students with their living expenses, under the condition that their average grades pass the minimum mark of 60%. Students from countries on the United Nation’s list of Least Developed Countries (LDCs) are eligible to apply for the Service Assistantship. Other students not from the LDCs need to prepare a low-income household statement issued by the government of the origin country, proof of disability (National Disabled Identification Card), or other proof of financial hardship. Service Assistantship recipients are required to perform part-time duties, no more than 10 hours per week. Duties vary, depending on administrative needs. The stipend rate is around 150 USD per month, roughly equivalent to the minimum monthly cost of food in Tainan City.
