Plead our Lord for keeping us safe when we are facing this severe epidemics and walking through the threat of virus with love, faith, and the best preparation

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.                                                 Psalms 23:1-6

Chang Jung Christian University was established by the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan to advance the spirit of love and sacrificial service embodied by Jesus Christ and to enable its faculty and students to develop to the fullest in body, mind, and spirit. In line with this goal, Office of the Chaplain was established to carry out a variety of ministries including life education, evangelism, pastoral care, oversight of student fellowships, music ministries, special celebrations, and scholarships for financially needy students. In addition, Office of the Chaplain also works to promote CJCU’s Ren-Ai Fund, which provides assistance to teachers and students who find themselves faced with sudden hardships; the fund is supported with the loving concern and financial resources of the university community as a whole. Office of the Chaplain also provides counseling and assistance to teachers and students with mental and emotional difficulties.

Office of the Chaplain works to offer comprehensive campus ministries; at present, it is responsible for the growth and development of the following Christian activities on the CJCU campus:

  • The four sub-groups of the United Student Fellowship (English Fellowship, Worship and Praise Fellowship, Firefly Fellowship, and Green Grass Fellowship), each of which has a different, regular weekly meeting time.
  • Bible Studies: These studies meet at various times on a weekly basis and include an English Bible study, a faculty Bible study, and a number of student Bible studies.
  • Faculty and Staff Choir: This group, which brings together faculties, staff, and students who enjoy singing traditional sacred music, performs at special events and Christian celebrations.
  • Handbell choir: This group, which consists of both faculty and students, also performs at special events and at the university’s Christian celebrations.
